Our Sick baby Slade

Well this weekend was a difficult for us. Slade has been sick since before Christmas and has gradually gotten worse. Well on Saturday I took slade to the Emergency Room because he started wheezing really bad. Well his oxygen level was a little low. So they got us right in. They ended up doing an x-ray on him and if you have seen the x ray machine for little babies it would make you cry. They put him on a little bicycle seat then bring two plastic looking sides around his waste then strap his head in, his arms also have to be above his head. I felt SO bad for him!
They next brought us back to our room and started to try and do an IV on Slade. That DID NOT go well at all. They worked on him for over and hour trying to get the IV in and once they did he pulled it out and it looked like a bloody massacre. The DR then came in and told us that slade had PNEUMONIA!!! I couldn't believe it! They ended up giving Slade his antibiotics through a shot instead of trying to do the IV all over again. His pneumonia wasn't bad enough to admit him it was only a little spot on the lower right side of his lungs. So they sent him home and made an appt for Monday to go see Dr Breitenbach to make sure that Slade was reacting well to the drugs.
When we went to the Dr they couldn't even hear ANYTHING in his lungs its like he healed over night. WE ARE SO BLESSED! Slade doesn't even act sick at all if it wasn't for him sounding like a little pug we wouldn't have even known he was sick. But he is getting SO much better and I am SO grateful for that!
